About the Wildlife Reserve

The Masai Mara National Reserve is located in South West Kenya and is close to the famous Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It stretches 1,510 square kilometers and is mainly covered with grasslands, where shrubs and trees growing along the rivers Mara and Talek. The conservatory area is known to be the house to more than 95 species of animals that include lions, black rhinoceros, elephants, leopards, and buffalos. Animals like wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle migrate to the area from the Serengeti throughout July to October.

Apart from the extraordinary view of the rich East African ecosystem, tourists can spend their night at the luxurious resorts that are located inside the Masai Mara area. There are different kinds of resorts around the river areas where the trees and shrubs are vast. You can either check into luxury tents and lodges, which are rather inexpensive, or to a pricy hotel.
